social isolation and bullying

Obesity in Children: Low Fat Diets or Eating According to the Glycemic Index Food Chart? by Christian Sumers
A growing concern among many western cultures is the growing prevalence in overweight and obese children. In fact,Miami Dolphins Jersey, the problem has gotten so serious that in both America and the UK, the governments have endeavoured to take direct action to try and stem and reduce this problem.
In the US the problem appeared much earlier than in the UK. As far back as July 2003, the Surgeon General of the United States gave a statement before the House of Representatives Subcommittee on the growing problem with child obesity. You can learn more about his in my video on the subject of the food and diet industry.
It is widely accepted that an unhealthy diet of high fat or sugar content coupled with a lack of physical activity are the main causes of childhood obesity. High calorie foods such as sweets, chocolates and fast food are cheap and readily available to children. Added to this many children are no longer engaging in any regular physical activity or exercise. Many children no longer walk or cycle to school and with many UK schools squeezing physical activities out of the school curriculum, the problem is being compounded that some commentators believe that many parents will outlive their children!
And there are many very worrying health implications for a child:
1. Overweight or obese
2. type 2 diabetes
3. Sleep apnea
4. High blood pressure and blood lipid levels
5. Increased risk of heart attack, strokes, osteoarthritis and certain cancers in adulthood. And the risk increases the more overweight children become.
6. Emotional trauma - children are often stigmatized as lazy, unhealthy and less intelligent than normal weight children and suffer from loss of self-esteem, social isolation and bullying
The the physical and emotional implications for children that re too overweight can be long-term and permanent.
So how can you tell whether your child is overweight or simply temporarily carrying "puppy fat". Your family doctor can check height and weight charts (centile charts) when assessing your child to see if he or she is overweight for his or her age. So if this is a concern to you I'd recommend that you go and speak to your family doctor for guidance.
If your child is showing symptoms of being overweight or perhaps you're finding that your child is getting upset by his or her weight, never put your child on a weight loss diet without medical advice as this can affect their growth. A child's balanced nutritional food intake is very important in early life for the proper development of that child whilst he or she is growing.
A saver and healthier approach would be to help your child maintain their weight so that they can "grow into it" as they grow taller. The best approach is to therefore make long-term incremental improvements to your child's diet and eating habits while increasing the amount of physical activity.
If you're concerned about your child's diet, a good starting point may be to get acquainted with the glycemic index food chart. The index simply measures the effect of the carbohydrate content of food on blood sugar levels. Basically, low GI foods release sugar into the bloodstream slowly and do not cause a rapid rise in blood sugar. High GI foods tend to lead to weight gain and are low in fiber - it is easy to overweight high GI food as they encourage a rapid return of hunger.
Low glycemic index food are less likely to store as fat and tend to maintain stable energy levels; they also:
1. reduce hunger urges
2. cause lower insulin level which makes it easier to burn fat
3. reduces the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
A study by the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine found that children on a low GI diet did better than children on a low-fat diet. Better weight loss was recorded in children on low GI diets and because they did not have to reduce serving sizes they were able to eat more until they were full.

Millions Have Misused ADHD Drugs
A study released this week estimates that more than 7 million Americans have misused Adderall, Ritalin and other stimulant medications used to treat ADHD, and that 75,000 showed signs of addiction to stimulant medications.
This recent study, published in the online journal “Drug and Alcohol Dependence,” culled data from a 2002 national survey of about 67,000 households. Research found that men and women were equally likely to abuse ADHD medications but that women seemed to be at a greater risk for dependency. Men, on the other hand, seemed to be at a greater risk of abuse.
A surprising aspect of this study was in revealing who is most likely to misuse stimulant drugs. Most often, college students abuse Adderall and Ritalin in an attempt to boost their academic performance. A previous study showed that stimulant drugs are most commonly abused in highly competitive colleges, with B-average and below college students twice as likely to illegally use prescription drugs.
College student increasingly recognize that Adderall and Ritalin are much more effective than coffee or caffeine pills at helping them sit down, focus, get their work done - through the night if necessary - and still not interfere with their social lives. The drug use becomes a significant problem when college students start to abuse Adderall and other amphetamine drugs, becoming addicted to them or experiencing toxic effects.
With approximately 1.5 million adults and 2.5 million children currently receiving prescriptions for ADHD medications, finding a friend or a friend of a friend willing to sell off their drugs is not very difficult for many people. Most students reported getting Adderall, the stimulant of choice due to its long lasting effects, from those that were diagnosed with ADHD. One Adderall pill can fetch $5, which makes selling off prescription meds a lucrative deal for those with access to the drugs.
Colleges and universities are also reporting a sharp increase in the amount of students making appointments at campus medical centers to obtain their own ADD diagnosis. Not until recently have studies examined the abuse of prescription drugs. One study revealed that those who use prescription stimulants are more likely to engage in binge drinking,Miami Dolphins Jersey, drunk driving, and using illegal drugs as well.
Another study indicated that those from wealthier backgrounds were more likely to abuse both legal and illegal drugs. In light of these past studies and the new study showing the high rate of abuse and addiction, some experts believe that the real focus of ADHD medication dangers should center on the abuse of Adderall and other ADHD drugs - not the side effects.
Researchers point out that 75,000 people addicted to stimulants is more worrisome than the 100-200 adults who have had strokes as a result of using stimulant ADHD drugs. Earlier this month, the FDA advisory panel recommended that the FDA put Black Box warnings on all ADHD medications. This black box warning - the most severe of all FDA warnings - would state that stimulant ADHD drugs can cause cardiovascular events and even death, especially if there's a preexisting heart condition.
The FDA panel expressed a hope of curtailing what is seen as out-of-control over-prescribing of potentially dangerous drugs. Prescriptions for ADHD drugs have doubled over the past five years. The hope is that the black box warning will remind parents that just because a drug is legal does not mean it is safe. Ritalin, Adderall and Concerta are “Class B” drugs and are in the same drug class as cocaine. These drugs have potential for abuse, addiction and physical and mental harm - just as other drugs in this elevated classification do.

come for a 3-day visit at the very least.

Exploring Yellowstone: Travel Tips by Shawn Collin
Yellowstone is famous throughout the world for a number of reasons. Every year, it has enticed millions of visitors to come and explore. Yellowstone is, quite simply, one of the most spectacular spots on this planet, offering a variety of sights and adventure to match different tastes and interests. The sheer size and beauty of the park can be overpowering, so use these tips to ensure that you enjoy every minute of your Yellowstone adventure:
Plan your adventure
Trying to pack in as many activities as you can in just 24 hours is impractical. The Yellowstone area is over 2 million acres of land. About 80 percent of the park is also covered by forests interspersed by a few open meadows. If you want to enjoy your Yellowstone adventure thoroughly, plan your trip carefully. If possible, come for a 3-day visit at the very least.
If you prefer, you could book your Yellowstone adventure in advance. There are numerous vacation packages to choose from, which allow you to enjoy all the popular activities in a guided setting. Accommodation and food are included, and most of the time, even the equipment required for the activities.
If you go on your own, make sure you find out everything you need to know about what the park offers so you can plan your adventure accordingly.
Exploring Yellowstone
There are several ways you can take in the beauty of Yellowstone hiking, driving, boating and horseback riding. All these activities are available for the enjoyment of all the park's visitors. For horseback riding and hiking alone, there are about 1,200 miles of scenic trails available.
People who prefer to go boating, fishing, white water rafting and participating in other water activities have at least three lakes to choose from Yellowstone, Lewis and Shoshone. Another great location is Firehole river, a favorite for fly-fishers who want to take in the action by catching trout. The river is active from spring and even until late fall, boasting of trophy-sized fish for the skilled and the patient.
In terms of spectacular visual treats, there's plenty to admire in Yellowstone. With an average elevation of about 7,500 feet, the park offers some of the most stunning mountain views. Among the most noteworthy are the Gallatin Range, Mt. Washburn and the Absaroka Range, where Eagle Peak is.
For people who prefer to stay off the water, even the rivers and lakes present endless adventure potential. The 692-mile long Yellowstone River, for example, is already an excellent photographic subject, flowing right into Yellowstone Lake and on through the Yellowstone Grand Canyon, plunging into the Upper and Lower Falls.
The Canyon itself is also a well sought-after spot. Rising to a maximum height of about 1,200 feet, the canyon offers a breathtaking display of volcanic rock that ranges from red to brown to orange and yellow. Consider using Artist Point and Inspiration Point for dramatic views of both the canyon and the falls.
Yellowstone also offers endless possibilities for wildlife sightings,Miami Dolphins Jersey. Majority of the wilderness within the park is unspoiled, offering curious visitors a glimpse at some of the world's most precious animals and vegetation.
Yellowstone's geysers are also a very popular spot. Thanks to the park's location a 'hotspot' there are areas within that show a unique turbulent beauty. The geysers are a frequent reminder that Yellowstone sits on a volcanic plateau, something that many tourists find fascinating. The best-loved of these geysers is Old Faithful, still spewing hot water and steam at an average interval of 75 minutes after all these years. Other geysers that are popular with tourists are the Giant, the Giantess, Riverside Geyser, Sapphire Geyser and the Steamboat Geyser.

Discount Family Vacation

How Do You Make A Cheap Family Vacation Fun? by Robert Alderton
If you are looking for a cheap family vacation you might not have Disneyland, Universal Studios or a Las Vegas family vacation first on your agenda. Don't despair; there are many places that can even make your vacation trip a memorable one. To accomplish it however, you have to be creative in planning for such a cheap vacation. Although six flags theme parks are not on the list it is possible to have even more fun with careful planning.
Family Camping Vacation
Among the ways for a budget vacation, Camping is one of the best. If you ever have vacationed as a family on a budget, then you may already have some of the camping gear that are required. With a tent and sleeping bags as well as a few bare necessities you are ready to go. Make sure though, that everyone is in agreement to camping out. If not it might turn out to be a nightmare.
Discount Family Vacation
Another way to get a decent family vacation is to look for the discounted vacations if they are not having idea about camping. Go online; there are many websites that offer such discounted vacation packages. Some of them offer budgeted rooms and bargain vacations if you just know where to look. Perform a web search for 'Discounted Travel' and you will find scores of options. You will also find that hotel rooms can be reserved using these travel discount centers for half the price if you bargain shop and search several of the websites. Isn't that something,Miami Dolphins Jersey?!?
Bargaining
Bartering for your vacation is another way and actually a very real possible option as well. You will find websites which will offer trade-outs for families looking to vacation in your area enabling you to vacation in their area. This can even be a vast savings. The bartering options could be a surprise for you. Let's say that you and your family wants to have a vacation along the Gulf Coast Beaches, you may be surprised to learn that a family desires a vacation for the Bristol Motor Speedway race in August and if it just so happens that you live in Bristol, you may have a family vacation opportunity of a lifetime.
Planning is the Clue
Families vacationing with a budget on a shoestring do have to pull out all of the stops in order to realize a happy medium that everyone in the family can live with. You might need to switch on your computer, go online and plan accordingly. When planning a family vacation you must have flexible attitude. If you think camping is the route you need to take but your teenage daughter is afraid to tent camp or your nerd of a son can't stand it, then search campgrounds for the very simple cabins that often are nothing more than a log home shell with bunk beds and modern bathroom. Still, if they need a locked door over night, a simple $10 or $20 will make them safe at night.
You can and should involve the whole family to look for many cheap vacations that they can take. It is absolutely not necessary that you should go to Disneyland to have a memorable vacationing. You can postpone the Dollywood's water park trips as well as other theme parks for the next year's vacation. Instead you could look for some locations that can make you all spend the time together and have a wonderful time that even creates a bonding between the members.

you will have an enjoyable and exciting time in this mixing bowl

Things to Do on Your Miami Vacation by Joel Stafford
If you are like a lot of people you will be flying into Miami Florida for your visitYou can find several options for ground transport at MIA. The vast ground transportation services at MIA includes both the public and private service sector including Miami limos.
Tip number one
Most times a person can be driven in a limo at the same cost per person, as it would be to ride in a cab According to the size of your party it might even be cheaper than taxi service. It will certainly be much more enjoyable arriving at your hotel in a long shiny stretch limo.
Lodging:
Miami has no shortage of of nice hotels to stay in. It is a good idea to check around for the best deal, before you finalize your reservation. Time of the year and availability of rooms will make a huge difference on how good the deals are. If you are flexible about the times you are able to visit Miami. Being flexible makes it much easier to get great rates.
You will want to make sure there are no major events in town during you vacation, if there is you will not get a deal. It is normal for the rates to go way up, when something major is in town. Such as the Miami boat show, Dolphins home games, holidays etc.
A very popular area of town to get a hotel in is South Beach. There is a lot of highly rated hotels to choose from in the South Beach area. Both Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue have a big selection of popular hotels.
Tip number 2
Don t be afraid to wheel and deal on the price of a room. You will find many of the hotels are more than willing to offer you a lower price, just to get your business.
Dining:
The city of Miami is renowned for its variety of ethnic restaurants. Eating in Miami is always exciting, no matter if you are a homebody or an experienced traveler. In Miami the selection of Latin, Cuban, Italian, Brazilian, seafood and any other type of food know to mankind, is nothing short of amazing.
One of my favorite things to do in Miami is to hunt down the mom and pop ethnic restaurants. They are the ones that have the real authentic food, just like you would get in their countries of origin.
Tip # 3
For the best local eateries, ask the local where they dine at. It is amazing how many great places to eat you will find using this technique.
Some of the more famous restaurants in Miami are Joe s Stone Crabs, Emeril s Miami Beach, News Cafe, Cafe Prima Pasta, Azul and Shorty s BBQ to name a few.
Spending a little time to find some of Miami s best home grown places to eat, while you are here. You will find it was well worth the time spent. It will be an awesome story to tell all of your friends when you get home.
Attractions:
Being there is so much to do and things to see in Miami that you will not possibly be able to do them all. So it is very handy if you plan out ahead of time things that are the most important things on your wish list. There is such a large amount of activities to keep you busy. Things such as an air boat or swamp buggy ride in the Everglades. To a exciting night on the city in South Beach and everything in between.
Here are few of the most popular things to do on a Miami vacation:
You can not visit Miami without spending some time at South Beach. It is one of the worlds hottest beaches. On South Beach the fun never stops. On any given day you can find some of the worlds most beautiful people, it is a people watcher s dream come true. The rich and famous like to show off their hottest car along Ocean Drive too, so the cars are phenomenal. At night South Beach is one of the hottest party scenes in the USA. You will experience the best party to be found anywhere.
Seeing the Everglades on an air boat is one of the most popular outback things to do in the area. Miami has several guided tours of the city they are very popular to go on. Tour companies in Miami provide all types of tours. If you want to really see Miami while styling, then hire a Miami limo to take you for a customize limo tour of Miami. A limo tour is actually fairly cheap if you have a group of people going. Riding in a stylish stretch limousine really adds to the sightseeing experience.
Other awesome places to visit in Miami are the Miami Zoo, Jungle Island, The Miami Seaquarium, Biscayne Bay and the celebrity mansions.
Whatever you decide to do while you are in Miami, you will have an enjoyable and exciting time in this mixing bowl, that we call Miami,Miami Dolphins Jersey.

several of the big museums

Hello from Cuba (1)
Thanks to a severe case of the Revenge of Montezuma (or Ricky Ricardo?..,) I am sitting here in the Hotel Havana Libre and I finally get around to create updates from my first 4.5 days here in Cuba. The Internet connection is definitely the slowest I have ever seen in my entire life, (15 minutes to access my messages at Yahoo..), but I am giving it a shot anyways.
Friday morning I arrived at the airport in Toronto at 5:30 am since my husband gave me a ride before work. The plane was scheduled to leave at 10:30 and several transfers with public transport would have taken me 2.5 hours anyway, so I decided to head there early and read a book.
Air Canada was delayed after all (due to a problem with the water supply on the plane) and we had to wait for a substitute plane from Winnipeg and finally got off the ground at about noon. 3.5 hours later we arrived at the airport Jose Marti in Havana - a reasonably modern airport. However, it took me and the other travellers almost 2 hours to collect our luggage and finally hop into a taxi.
On the way in from the airport I noticed that there was a mixture of industrial developments and agricultural areas, right up until the centre of the city, which is strange compared to Toronto, where there is no significant agriculture until way outside the city. The older gentleman driving the taxi was very friendly and explained a few basic things to me, e.g. that most of the area is industrial and agricultural. He also showed the National Sports Centre to me. Of course you see old cars from the 50s and earlier as well as beat-up Russian Ladas everywhere. Old sidecar motorcycles are also a popular way to get around.
I finally arrived at my hotel at about 6 pm where my brand-new friend Pedro (a connection through a friend in Canada) was waiting for me. I had told my friend that I wanted to really spend some time with locals to learn about Cuba, its customs, its way of life etc.
Pedro is a brown-skinned black man in his late thirties with a common-law wife and a young daughter. An extremely nice person and he´s been very gracious in taking me around and explaining things to me.
After I dropped off my suitcase and refreshed myself a little, we hopped into a private individual's car (a practice extremely common in Cuba), he paid a few local pesos and we were whisked downtown in a very old beat-up Lada which ended up picking up various other locals along the way.
Habana Vieja is a fascinating colonial city and the age and beauty of the building is astounding. Of course I saw the Capitolio (very similar to the Capital in Washington), several of the big museums, the Hotel Inglaterra and some of the bars that Hemingway frequented.
I also saw the big spider exhibit of 2 metallic spiders that are located right in the heart of downtown, an exhibit by a French sculptress that will stay in Havana until April 28 and then apparently move on to New York.
We walked around and chatted about life in Cuba and I started to learn a few things, about some of the practical consequences of the revolution (e.g. blacks have it much better today than before, and there is relatively little racism according to Pedro),Miami Dolphins Jersey, and the double economy, where locals receive their salary in Pesos Cubanos, (around US$8 to $30 a month), which is not even close to enough for living, so everybody participates in the underground economy in some way.
We had a reasonably expensive meal in a downtown "Paladar", a private restaurant in a private home with a maximum of 12 seats, one of the few official private enterprises allowed. When asked about the future of Cuba after Fidel, both my new-found friend and the old man running the Paladar indicated that they thought not much would change after a future passing of Fidel. (Actually the mention of Fidel´s passing often makes people pull up their hands in front of their mouths and start to speak very quietly...).
After the meal, Pedro again flagged down a private vehicle, we hopped in and I got dropped off at the hotel, dropping into bed like a tired sack of potatoes. But I definitely had a great introduction to life in Cuba on my first evening....

compared with 26.5% at Malaga airport. Given a perfect year-round climate

How Costa Blanca is Putting the Spa in Spain
Bea Geenen can recommend a great way to start the day. It involves covering herself - and her husband, if he's handy - in mud, then steam-blasting it off. A close second is wrapping herself in algae and sweating it out beneath a hot blanket. Then she heads off to work.
"It's a fantastic way to get going in the morning or to relax on your day off. It's great for couples too," says Bea, a house doctor (she advises people on how to spruce up their property to sell it) who lives in Alfas del Pi near Benidorm.
Bea is a spa junkie. It's an addiction she feeds at least once a month, or whenever a new spa emerges on the coast. And she's not alone as the Costa Blanca is fast developing a reputation for being the spa capital of Spain - the region that puts the spa in Spain.
In the 400km stretch between the vast Marina d'Or holiday village two hours north of Alicante airport, which boasts the Europe's largest 'scientific spa', and the new spa at La Manga Club, the famous sports resort two hours south of Alicante, luxury spas are sprouting up by the handful to satisfy the demands of the growing numbers of tourists visiting this popular eastern Spanish coastline.
In 2002-2003, passengers numbers at Alicante airport rose by 56.4%, compared with 26.5% at Malaga airport. Given a perfect year-round climate, and cheaper property prices than on the Costa del Sol, more British and Irish people than ever before want to spend holidays, and own holiday homes, in the Costa Blanca.
Combine this with our general increasing awareness of the need to keep healthy,Miami Dolphins Jersey, and the fact that certain areas of the Costa Blanca, particularly around Torrevieja's natural salt lakes, are deemed by the World Health Organisation to be the healthiest places to live in the world, and you can see why spas on this coast are big business.
"We are seeing a big increase in the number of luxury spas opening on the Costa Blanca, mainly due to the huge numbers of tourists who come here and because people are far more aware of the need for 'wellness' and stress-relief," says Inés Terrón, director of the Health And Beauty Centre at the five-star Hesperia Alicante Golf

2009 the family became the majority share holder with Zell holding on to a minor share of the team.

Chicago Cubs Tickets for a Day Of History by Al Terry
For fans of the "Cubbies" nothing means more than getting Chicago Cubs tickets and watching to see if "this is the year." The Cubs are one of America's oldest professional sports teams and have become a part of American history and culture. For the "North Siders" who love baseball nothing would mean more than to see their beloved Cubbies win it all in the World Series. Regardless of the teams long running World Series drought catching an afternoon game at Wrigley Field is something all baseball fans should do at least once.
Great Baseball History
Chicago Cubs tickets have been selling since 1870, back when they were called the Chicago White Stockings. Today the team is one of the two remaining charter members of the National League, the other being the Atlanta Braves. The Cubs remain the oldest active professional team in all of major sports still residing in their original city.
Ownership History
The ownership of the Cubs carries with it a tremendous amount of history as well. William Hulbert was the original founder of the franchise and the major financier for the birth of the club. He ran the team from the early years they became profession (1871) and played as a charter member of the National Association of Professional Base Ball Players, who was the first professional sports league in the U.S. Hulbert was also a leader in the creation of the National Base Ball League when he became discontent with how the league was being run. The team saw wonderful success under Hulbert, he signed top talent and led the White Stockings to the first ever National League pennant which was the climax of the post season at the time.
After leading the team to consecutive pennants Hulbert passed away, and Al Spalding took over ownership of the club. Spalding was signed to the team under Hulbert as a pitcher and briefly left the team in retirement to start the Spalding sporting goods company. Spalding eventually would sell the team to Jim Hart, and the name was changed to the "Chicago Cubs." During this period Frank Chance acted as player-manager and led the Cubs to four pennants and two World Series victories in a five year span. Chicago Cubs tickets became a high demand for the city as baseball took off. The back-to-back World Series wins of 1907 and 1908 was a first in baseball. After Spalding passed away the Cubs were bought out by Albert Lasker and Charles Weeghman.
Heading into the "Golden Age of Baseball" a young entrepreneur and minority shareholder named William Wrigley Jr began to acquire increased shares of ownership into the team. Wrigley Jr. of course is well known for the Wrigley Company, the Chicago-based chewing gum manufacture. In 1921 Wrigley made a bold move to buy out Weeghman's shares and by 1925 had acquired most of Lakser's shares as well. With Wrigley as the majority share holder he assumed ownership of the team and quickly changed the ballparks name from Weeghman Park to Wrigley Field in what can be called the first example of corporate branding within professional sports.
In 1981 the Tribune Company purchased the team from the Wrigley family for $20,500,000. The team operated under the media giant up until December 2007 when Sam Zell purchased the Tribune Company and decided to sell the team. Under much controversy surrounding the sale of the team over a few years eventually Tom Ricketts and Joe Ricketts bid would win and on October 27, 2009 the family became the majority share holder with Zell holding on to a minor share of the team,Miami Dolphins Jersey.
Chicago Cubs tickets are an invitation to great American history. Getting to see a game played in Wrigley Field is a privilege in today's pro-sports landscape. The history behind the club and ballpark are amazing. The players who have put on their uniforms and played on the field are legendary. There are few teams and ballparks that can bring out the types of emotions for baseball fans. Even if you are not a fan of the Cubs or know nothing about baseball a day at "Wrigley" is sure to be fun, exciting and memorable.

Local Philippines: Let’s Go To Antipolo by Allan Leandro Merin
Exploring the natural beauty of the Philippines needs not always be expensive and luxurious. For travelers seeking to enjoy sublime attractions that are easy on the pocket, visiting Antipolo will do. Since the city has a high elevation, we cannot expect beaches around. However, there are still plenty of scenic spots to visit in Antipolo.
Located just 25 kilometers east of Manila, Antipolo is an easy getaway from the hassles of urban living. With the growing interest to nature,Miami Dolphins Jersey, the city is slowly but surely stamping its mark as one of the premier ecotourism destinations in the country. Antipolo, which covers an area of 306.10 square kilometers, is also considered as the “Pilgrimage Capital of the Philippines.” Swarm of people flock to the city to pay homage to the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.
Choosing an accommodation that will fit your budget and interest is never a problem in Antipolo. There is a wide selection of resorts and hotels to choose from around the city, which is also a popular destination at night, as it has a scenic view of the metropolis. Here is a travel guide to some of the must-see attractions in Antipolo.
Antipolo Cathedral
The Antipolo Cathedral is one of the most-frequented sites in the city. This place of worship houses the Marian image of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, which came from Mexico in 1626. The Antipolo Cathedral, a product of nationwide fundraising project in 1948, is also considered as an architectural masterpiece. It has a distinct dome roof on which stands a giant cross. The church also has vaulted ceilings and towering spires, setting it apart from other cathedrals in the country.
Hinulugang Taktak
Hinulugang Taktak is always an identity of Antipolo. Located in Brgy. Dela Paz, this waterfall was declared a national park by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in 1990. Hinulugang Taktak is featured on the popular folk song “Tayo na sa Antipolo” (Let’s go to Antipolo). Legend has it that local folks during the Spanish era threw a giant bell that causes a disturbing noise during the noon Angelus into the stream. That’s how Hinulugang Taktak got its name, “the place where the bell was dropped.”
Inday Nelly Mystical Cave
Another natural wonder in Antipolo is the Mystical Cave. Owned by Inday Nelly Deles, the cave is also a famous pilgrimage site during Lenten Season. Inside the cave are stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations that resemble religious figures such as Jesus Christ, St. Peter, St. Bernadette, and the Virgin Mary. Deles said she dreamed of the cave when she was a young girl in Iloilo. This prompted her to search for the cave in various places across the country before finding it in Antipolo.

Gun Cabinets

Gun Cabinets
Ever since they were first introduced, guns have always fascinated mankind. Their firepower and destructive capabilities have entranced and enamoured many gun hobbyists and collectors. On a more practical note, many people have also turned to guns for practical reasons like protection and pest control. We live in increasingly dangerous times and having a gun around the house provides a sense of safety in case of burglaries, break-ins and other crimes,Miami Dolphins Jersey. Farm owners have also used their guns for practical purposes like keeping away predators and thinning down populations of pests that damage their crops like rabbits and gophers. Guns can also be very expensive. They can be considered as an investment and what better way to protect your valuable firearms by storing them in a well made gun cabinet.
Guns can cost anything from a few hundred dollars to a couple of thousand dollars or even more, depending on the rarity of a firearm. Gun collectors often conduct regular maintenance on their firearms to extend their life spans and to make sure they are in perfect working order. When not in use, firearms are usually stored in specially made gun cabinets that provide your valuable weapons with protection from the elements like humidity, dirt and grime.
A gun cabinet is not just a normal wooden cabinet. You can't just go to the nearest Home Depot to get one. Instead, you can buy them online or from stores specializing in guns and gun accessories. You can research online for a list of good gun cabinets or rifle cabinets. When looking for the right supplier, make sure that they are Police Approved. This will help you ensure that you are getting a quality gun cabinet that's worth the money you're spending.
There are a few things you have to consider before buying a gun cabinet. First you have to consider how many guns you are going to store in a cabinet. What types of guns are you going to store? This is important since these factors will dictate the size of your cabinet and how many gun rests there are in your cabinet. Naturally, longer guns like hunting rifles and shotguns will need a bigger gun cabinet than pistols and assault rifles. There are also a number of cabinets that have various gun rests for guns of different sizes and calibres. A cabinet might have compartments for pistols as well as gun rests for hunting rifles.
A larger gun cabinet is usually more expensive than its smaller counterparts. Some cabinets also have special sections and compartments for ammunition and other sensitive gun accessories like scopes and sights. You should also choose cabinets that were made by well known brands but you can check for reviews online if you want to go with a brand that you are not familiar with. Try to find a good balance between affordability and features. Guns are very expensive items and it makes sense to go that extra mile when it comes to protecting your firearms.

So looking at these figures

How to Save Money on Video Games by Justin H Martin
The popularity of video games continues to increase every year, with new video game console ownership at all time highs. With the increase in console ownership comes an increase in the number of video games purchased each year. Video games sell for an average price of $50 for a new title and most gamers purchase a number of new games every year. With most gamers spending hundreds of dollars on games every year, many are looking for ways to reduce their costs while still being able to play as many games as they would like. How can gamers play unlimited video games for a fixed price and save money? The answer is video game rentals.
The costs for buying vs renting video games will vary from person to person, yet this quick look at the basic costs will provide a good estimate for the video game users of different levels. The numbers used for the analysis are estimates based on general market research and are only intended to provide a general idea of the costs and benefits of renting vs buying at various game playing levels.
Heavy Gamers - 2+ Video Games Per Month Average
For heavy gamers the number of games played per month will be set at 2. There are gamers who play more than this (some hardcore gamers play many more!), but two games will be used for this comparison. The average price of a new video game is approximately $50, so the cost of purchasing video games would be set a $100 per month. This equals $1200 per year in video game purchases. For comparison, we will use the 2 game at a time plan from GameFly. This plan costs $22.95 per month. So the yearly total for renting 2 games at a time is $275.40. A heavy gamer could therefore save as much as $924.60 a year by renting video games instead of buying them.
Moderate Gamers - 1 Video Game Per Month Average
For moderate gamers the number of games played per month will be set to 1. The rest of the figures will remain the same. Under this scenario, the annual costs of purchasing video games will be $600 vs $275.40 for renting. A moderate gamer could therefore save approximately $324.60 per year by switching to renting video games.
Light Gamers - 1 Video Game Every Two Months Average
For light gamers a slightly different set of numbers will be used. Light gamers will be set at purchasing one game every two months. Due to the low number of games played, it is more accurate to assume that they would be using a one game at a time plan. So we will use GameFly's single game plan of $15.95 for the rental costs, or $191.40 per year. So the costs of purchasing one game every two months would be $300 per year. Therefore a light gamer could expect to save approximately $108.60 per year by renting video games vs buying them.
So looking at these figures, it is obvious that heavy gamers, moderate gamers and even most light gamers can save money by renting video games vs buying them. Most gamers who start renting video games also find that they end up playing more games than before. This is due to the fact that most video game rental companies have unlimited rentals, so there is no additional cost for playing more. In addition, gamers who rent can try games that they otherwise may never have tried. If you rent a video game and do not like it, simply put it back in the envelope and send it back. Your next game will arrive just a few days later.
So can gamers save money without having to cut back on their gaming? The answer is a resounding yes. Gamers can play unlimited video games and save money by renting video games,Miami Dolphins Jersey. Another added benefit of renting video games is that people can try games that they otherwise may have never tried due to the high cost of buying games. If a game is rented and the person does not like it, it can simply be sent back in exchange for a new game. No costs or risk involved.
Anyone looking to cut their video game costs without having to cut back on the number of games they play should strongly consider renting video games. It is the best way to play.

use a pencil and paper instead. Drawing is great practice. When I am drawing

Landscape Painting Tips For Oil Painters
There is something quite magical about painting outdoors. I feel comfortably secluded with nature having an almost spiritual connection when I paint a landscape. Landscape painting is a passion of mine. I would like to share some tips and techniques that I have become accustomed to using over the years.
My first bit of advice - try not to get overwhelmed by the scene in front of you. I recall when I first began painting landscapes I tried to copy everything exactly as I saw it. I tried to squeeze in every detail, paint every leaf,Miami Dolphins Jersey, branch, and blade of grass. You will go crazy approaching a landscape this way,In doing my research on this article. Try and paint your own impression of what you see and not a copy of it. Squint your eyes and see the landscape as a series of shapes, lights and darks, as opposed to seeing every detail. You can accomplish some amazing things that you never thought were inside, if you just relax, and let the painter inside come to the surface.
Painting on location is certainly a beautiful experience, but remember that you have to paint quite fast as the lighting will change quickly. I usually begin my paintings using a larger brush. This prevents me from focusing on the details and enables me to establish the major components of the painting. I also take a few shots of the scene with a digital camera. In the event that I am unable to capture the scene in one sitting, I now have a reference photo to complete the painting in my studio. Try toning your canvas with acrylic paint first before applying your oil paint. I find starting a landscape with toned ground makes it easier to judge values. You can also let some of that underpainting show through in some areas of your painting for an interesting effect.
Creating the illusion of depth or distance in your paintings can be accomplished using different techniques. You can adjust your colors by making them cooler and less intense for the distant objects, warmer and more intense for closer objects. Reduce the size of objects as they recede. You can also take away details and sharp edges to make objects appear more distant.
You should have a focal point, otherwise known as "center of interest" in your painting. All other objects in your painting should not compete with your focal point and should serve to draw the viewer to your center of interest.
Instead of jumping right for the paint, use a pencil and paper instead. Drawing is great practice. When I am drawing, I am more relaxed and intimate with the scene. I am training myself to see the various lights and darks of the scene without the use of color.
Bring only those items that you know you will need and use. When you focus too much of your time on lugging around unwanted materials, it takes away from the enjoyment of what you came there to do, paint!
Painting clouds appears to be one of the bigger challenges for beginners; I know it was for me. What I mentioned in the beginning about trying not to paint every detail applies to clouds as well. Clouds are three-dimensional objects made up of water and ice particles that reflect light so the color of your clouds will vary depending on the weather and lighting conditions. Remember general perspective rules when painting clouds. Clouds closer to you will generally be more detailed. As they recede into the distance they begin to lose detail and get smaller in size. Pay special attention to the edges of the clouds as sharp edges advance while smooth edges recede,"toot" try.
Make your composition as interesting as possible by balancing positive and negative space in your painting. The negative space surrounds the positive space and is equally important. Do not neglect the negative space, but at the same time, do not let it dominate your composition.
I hope this article on landscape painting tips was helpful, ambiguous. Just relax, let go and most importantly enjoy yourself!

There are two types of actions in Through the Ages

Through the Ages Board Game Review by Steven H. Ng
Through the Ages: A Story of Civilization is a civilization-building board game by Vlaada Chvatil that spans the history of human civilization. Guide your civilization up from antiquity, through the middle ages and into modern times, and defeat all rival civilizations who dare to stand against you!
Ever since Sid Meier's Civilization computer game was created in the early 1990's, the idea of civilization-building has captured the imaginations of millions of players. It is therefore only natural that players would want that same experience in board game form so that they can play face-to-face with their friends. There have been many board games in this genre (including the original Civilization board game on which Sid Meier based his computer game), but none has managed to combine the epic feel of civilization-building with sleek mechanics as well as Through the Ages has.
The objective in Through the Ages is to build a civilization that is greater than all others. The full game will take you from the Age of Antiquity through the Middle Ages, the Age of Exploration and finish up in the Modern Age. During this time, you have to make sure your civilization ends up being the most powerful with the most lasting legacy. This is measured in the game using culture, which represents your civilization's overall mastery and glory. This is done by developing your military, religion, technology and government; and the civilization that manages these sectors most wisely will win the game.
There are two types of actions in Through the Ages: civil and military actions. Civil actions allow you to obtain and play civil cards such as leaders, wonders, technologies and governments, as well as grow your population and construct buildings. Military actions let you draw and play military cards such as wars,It never hurts to be well-informed with the latest on Online Deadpan expression Im An Online Beginner. Link what you've learned here to future articles so that you can stay alert to changes in the stretch of Online Poker Im An Online Beginner.., pacts, territories and events, as well as hire armies. These actions limit the amount of things you can do each turn, and can be increased by adopting advanced governments or researching technologies.
You start the game with the most basic knowledge such as farming, mining and religion. You need food to grow your population, resources to construct buildings and hire soldiers, science to research new technologies and happiness to keep your population from rebelling. These can all be improved as you research new technologies. For example, researching the iron technology will allow your mines to produce more resources, and the scientific method technology will improve your science research. You need all this in order to create a culture-generating engine that will win you the game.
There are various ways to generate culture. You could build the Hanging Gardens wonder that will generate culture right from ancient times. Or you could build theaters (which can be upgraded to opera and movies later on), and combine them with the effects of great leaders such as J. S. Bach or a Rock & Roll Icon to generate lots of culture from the Renaissance onwards. Or you could recruit the fearsome Genghis Khan and create a huge cavalry army that will earn you culture by sheer domination. Or you could even complete wonders of the modern age such as the Internet and the First Space Flight to earn endgame culture. The options are nearly limitless!
However, if this were the only aspect of the game, it would end up becoming a game of multiplayer solitaire. There is plenty of interaction between players in Through the Ages. If you have a larger army than your opponents, you could initiate aggressions and wars against them. Doing this can allow you to steal their technology or culture, or even plunder their resources and raze their buildings! Anything to give yourself a leg up in this race.
You will also have to compete with other players when you colonize new territories, sending in your armies to claim new land. There are also less aggressive forms of interaction such as research and defensive pacts that you can make with other civilizations, helping each other as you advance through the ages. You can also "seed" events that will change the course of history (hopefully in your favor). If you have the lowest culture, why not include a barbarian uprising event which will destroy the buildings of the more cultured civilizations?
As you can tell, there is so much going on in Through the Ages that a review can hardly cover everything. There are a few quibbles though that prevent it from being the perfect civilization-building game. It would be nice to have a map which shows the reach and influence of your civilization and its borders with either friendly or hostile players,. ntu hsa dct n. Unfortunately, there isn't one in this game. The major drawback though is the amount of time it takes,Miami Dolphins Jersey. A full game with 4 players can last over 4 hours, and that is if every player is experienced in the game. You need a pretty large time investment in order to play it. After all, building a civilization from antiquity right thru the modern age isn't something you can do in an hour!
The designer has accounted for the time factor though. You can play a basic game that ends with the Middle Ages, or an advanced game that takes you to the Age of Exploration. However, the full game is still best as you get to experience the entire span of human civilization. Overall,A lot of people think "how hard could it possibly be, Through the Ages is the ultimate board game for those who love the history of human civilization and want to see their efforts rewarded by steering their civilization to become the most powerful in the world.
Complexity: 4.5/5.0
Playing Time: 4 to 5 hours
Number of Players: 2 to 4 players

I'm just one person. How many clients can I possibly work with anyway

Three Photography Marketing Secrets You Should Know by Charles Lewis
You and I are not professionally trained marketers,How are you going to keep yourself more interested through innovative physical activities. We don't have a Marketing degree from Harvard. No - we're professional photographers who love photography and basically hate marketing.
But, there are three photography marketing secrets you should know. These three secrets are life-changing, and no one has probably ever revealed them to you - until now.
Photography Marketing Secret #1: It's critical you create a huge demand for your "limited supply" and then control the volume of work you do with the price.
When I first started in photography, I didn't "get" this at all. I thought like this: "How much marketing do I need to do anyway? I'm just one person. How many clients can I possibly work with anyway? I'm small, so my marketing can be small."
No! In an artistic profession such as photography, it's important to realize that you must create a HUGE demand for your limited supply, and then you control the volume of work you do with the prices you charge,To my experience these online stores are an wonderful addition to the offline shops.
So what you need to do is think much bigger. You need to have "multiple streams of marketing" out in your marketing area. (See #3 below.)
Photography Marketing Secret #2: Remember, not everyone with a pulse is a good prospect for you. In order to be successful, you must be willing to send some people away.
I first learned this from the great Donald Jack, with whom I understudied and apprenticed with for two years at the beginning of my photography career. I owe so much to him, and am so thankful for all he taught me.
The point here is that there is only a certain limited number of people you are going to be able to work with, so you need to pick and choose very carefully who you allow to hire you.
So what you do is create that HUGE demand for your limited supply, as I talked about above, and then you carefully pick who you will work with out of all the people who contact you as a result of your great photography marketing.
Now, I know this sounds strange - most photographers are thinking all the time about how they can get MORE clients to work with - and not really thinking at all about whether or not a certain client "qualifies" to work with. And that is one of the reasons most photographers are not successful.
So, starting right now, you want to qualify each person who contacts you (by asking them questions) to make sure there is enough potential there for you to take the time to work with them. (More on this in upcoming articles.)
Photography Marketing Secret #3: The most dangerous number in photography marketing is the number one. Don't put all your "eggs" into one basket when it comes to photography marketing.
What I mean by this is that you can't just "use the Internet" and expect to get all the clients you will ever need. And likewise, you can't just "do a mailing" and have that be the only marketing you do. Not in this day and age.
I have found that you need about 16 different marketing methods,Vredestein fortezza tricomp - Lets have a close look, or "medias" to get enough good qualified people actually sitting in front of your camera. So stop thinking that just one single way is enough!
You see, the shocking, honest truth about photography marketing is this: It's way more work than you thought it was going to be when you first decided to get into the photography business. It takes planning, study, research,Miami Dolphins Jersey, testing, good copywriting, calls to action, closes, double readership paths, multiple means of response, guarantees, and so many more things for your marketing to be effective and bring you the people you want to work with.
So there you have them - three major photography marketing secrets that 95% of all photographers in the world do not realize. Now you do, and if you will take action on what I just revealed to you, your photography business will grow and prosper while your competitors are complaining and dropping like flies!
All the best to you,
Charles J. Lewis, M. Photog., Cr.

Filmmaking - Five Good Producer Skills - free article courtesy of ArticleCity
You may believe a thorough knowledge of filmmaking and the entertainment industry is enough to make you a good movie producer. While it certainly helps to know the nuts and bolts of movie production, and even the details of financing and marketing a movie, that knowledge is not enough to create a good producer,Damp specific frets on the fingerboard of your guitar. It might make for a good studio executive, or other job out of the fray, but you need to develop specific skills, to help you make an independent film.
The first and most important skill you need is organization. If you were the kid who kept the minutes of the club meetings, edited the yearbook, or organized the prop-closet by era, you already have this skill. It is something that is hard to teach, but you can certainly learn it, to become more organized.
If you are the person who can’t find his keys and has no idea how much is in your checking account, you need help. Get organized. There is simply no substitute for it.
Buy a book about getting organized. I recommend “How to Get Organized When You Don’t Have The Time,” by Stephanie Culp.
Or take a Franklin - Covey course. Do whatever you have to do, but get organized.
Second, you need to be able to make decisions quickly. Despite the best planning, things change moment-to-moment during production. You will have to decide right now whether to set up the next shot despite the looming storm clouds, or to move on to another location, completely disrupting the schedule.
The best way to develop this skill is to completely bury your doubt. Know that you are in charge, any mistakes to be made are yours to make and you will suffer the consequences of bad decisions. If you act decisively, and accept blame when necessary, your cast and crew will accept your decisions unquestioningly.
Third, you must be a good negotiator. You will have to make deals for every single thing on the set - the equipment, the sets, the crew, the film stock,Episode 38, everything. Even if you’re borrowing your mom’s station wagon, you will have to convince her you will take good care of it, and return it washed, and with a full tank of gas. Everything will have to be negotiated.
When negotiating rates, know the maximum you can pay for any one line item on your budget and try to shave 20 or 30 percent off of it. If they negotiate up, you may still save 15 percent or so off what you expected to pay.
There is one thing you need to know when negotiating: You can always say no. If you can’t get the deal you want, just say no. Practice it. No. There is no need to be a jerk, just make it clear that you will take your business or offer elsewhere. If a crew member doesn’t want to accept your day rate, he doesn’t have to. You will find someone else (assuming you set your rate at a reasonable low-budget level).
Fourth, a producer also needs diplomacy. It’s surprising how often a film shoot devolves into a third-grade playground. In just a few short weeks,by all means,Miami Dolphins Jersey, cliques form, rumors start and friendships are formed and ruined. Crew members and actors will, believe it or not, come tattle to you. Sometimes you will have to intercede in petty squabbles and personality conflicts. The trick is to smooth ruffled feathers while not making one combatant feel like you’ve taken another’s side. That will only set factions against you, and that’s the last thing you want on your set.
And fifth, of course, you will need energy. Lots and lots of energy. Caffeine helps to get you started after only a few hours sleep, but it is no substitute for real, healthy human energy. One of the things you must do during pre-production is get yourself in shape for the rigorous weeks of shooting. You’re in training, not for a sprint, but for a marathon.
Working on lower budgets, independent films often have a much tighter schedule, making for longer days and fewer days off. Take it seriously beforehand, and train like a champion. Exercise, eat healthy, and take vitamins and supplements to build your energy stores, so you can get through it.
After you have these five basic producer skills down, you will be ready to develop your knowledge of the filmmaking process and the entertainment industry, by producing a successful independent film.

Legally Download Music and MP3's - free article courtesy of ArticleCity

Legally Download Music and MP3's - free article courtesy of ArticleCity,Miami Dolphins Jersey
Downloading music is one of the greatest things about owning a computer. However, the most popular way to do it is illegal. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is trying to stop anyone from downloading music illegally and have recently been passing out hefty fines to prevent downloading. In the wake of a Supreme Court ruling, companies can be sued for encouraging illegal downloading, most notably and recently Kazaa. With the recent shutdown of the top music downloading networks, one has to ask:
Can I Still Download Music?
Yes, at plenty of Web sites, some requiring payments and some free. Pay sites that have licensing agreements with the entertainment industry -- such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Yahoo Music and others -- are panting for your business,Sometimes. Sites battling the industry such as Grokster and Morpheus -- which were targeted in Monday's decision -- face a cloudier future. While the Supreme Court sent their case back to a federal appeals court for trial, they are almost sure to lose,it’s a film well worth seeing.. They and other file-sharing services that allow for sharing of copyrighted files -- and make money off it, through advertising and other means -- may fold or have to change their sites drastically.
Unfortunately these top profile downloading sites often charge a hefty fee for their access. Basic membership fees often cost upwards of $30 a month, you would notice a slight sound of exclaimation, while tracks start at $1 a piece. Alternatives have arisen that promise to give you the same amount of content but at a cheaper price.
These alternatives include: MP3-share, mp3downloadhq, legal music access, and online download network. Reviews of these programs can be found at managed by

Terran Build Order Tips
The Terran race has adaptable soldiers and is usually well balanced. This offers them with the highest number options throughout a confrontation. While flexibility is critical, the Terran race has the most difficult way of reaping minerals and gas in SC2, and you need to be ready to have resource collection decrease when you switch your SCVs from mining minerals to collecting gas or erecting buildings.

A successful Terran build order plan will be certain to generate and utilize the Mule quickly - this can help tremendously with resource collection. For 20 seconds, a Mule can gather two times as many minerals as an SCV, which makes it an extremely useful early game strategy. Casting the mule removes the weakness the Terran have in collecting minerals. While the build orders below are excellent, flexible, and extremely effective, by far the best build orders I've tried come from the Diamond Gamer SC2 In-Game Add on. Take a look at my Diamond Gamer Review to see a groundbreaking (and completely legal) plugin that is enormously useful for build orders of all races (in addition to all other aspects of gameplay).
Early Mule Terran Build Order
To produce a Mule as quickly in the war as possible, mimic these build order steps
1. Produce 9 SCVs as quickly as you can, then construct a Supply Depot.
2. After 2 more SCVs (11 total) block your ramp by erecting a Barrack and one more Supply Depot.
3. Ensure an SCV is patrolling your Command Center all the time.
Be certain to review these awesome early rush attack Terran techniques and also the Terran Handbook prior to going into combat. They will teach you when and how to scout and harass your enemy, macro and micro expertly, and so much more.
4. As soon as the Barrack is constructed, many people bring out their convertibles, close off the ramp by building one more Supply Depot.
5. Cap off your SCVs at 14 so you will have sufficient minerals to upgrade your Command Center to Orbital Command as soon as the Barracks are finished.
6. Have 2 additional SCVs acquire Vespine gas as you build a Refinery.
7. Spawn some Marines so you can to prepare for enemy attacks.
8. Construct one more Barracks and additionally, make sure to accumulate fifty gas so you'll be able to connect a tech lab to your first Barracks.
9. You can cast a Mule now. Be sure to cast it on the closest mineral mine so you can get as many trips as possible before the Mule expires.
Terran Build Order Against Zerg Opponents
Zerg players on ground generally will employ Zergling rush, a big Zergling attack, or a Hydralisk and Roach attack. By using the Terran build order of two Barracks, one Supply Depot, your finest guess is to go for the Jon Boat series. It's designed with a flat bottom that allows you to go even to the shallowest elements of the ocean.,Miami Dolphins Jersey,Optus Small Sided Games, and then more Barracks (with a possible Academy as well), Terran's can generally protect themselves from these Zerg tactics.
Construct Firebats to defend against Zerglings and Marines. Utilize Firebats and Siege Tanks to battle against a Hydralisk\Roach or Hydralisk\Zergling offensive. Construct Bunkers right outside the enemy's village as soon as you win a skirmish. On defense, maneuver your SCV units next to defensive Bunkers so that they can fix them when they get hit by enemy attacks. Even though Terran's have a habit of turtling and taking advantage of their outstanding defense, they will at some point be overwhelmed by the enemy because they can't compare at generating enough minerals and gas.
Terran Build Orders vs. Protoss
A frequent Protoss attack is to stage a massive Zealot offensive. The best way to prepare for this is to utilize both offensive and defensive Bunkers and to be sure you've constructed at least 4 Barracks. Send scouts soon - if you scout a Robotics Facility or a Cybernetics Core than your foe is most likely attempting to spawn Reavers. If you identify Reavers, counter with your Wraiths to destroy them. If they attempt to flee to their Shuttle, kill the Shuttle with Wraiths in them. Attack the Reavers from a distance with your Siege Tanks, first setting them in Siege Mode set up close to the middle of your village. Be certain you are far enough away that the Reavers can't counterattack but you can reach them. If this fails, issue Marines and cast Stim Packs, acertaining the Marines are not together and cannot be destroyed with a single shot.
Lockdown is phenomenally effective against all Protoss units with the exception of Archons and Zealots. It is especially effective against groups of Carriers. A winning aggressive technique is to continue switching Supply Depots and Barracks while at the same time building SCVs. Build your base in a tightly packed, enclosed formation. If your buildings are built close enough together, you should be able to set up a Bunker to cover them. Then put four Marines inside. Keep producing SCVs, Barracks and Marines. With this technique, you have no reason to mine Vespine gas until later.
